A project can also be run as a PLC simulation. This lets you verify your project.
The PLC simulation in OATs works much like a real PLC. It can be started from the programming environment but executes as a separate Windows program. Communication between the programming environment and the simulation - e.g. to fetch fresh values for a live ladder diagram - uses a virtual network established within the PC.
All online features are available for the simulation. A ladder diagram or a sequential function chart can be viewed and handled online in the simulation as the real thing would be. You even can download a modified project to a PLC simulation.
The PLC simulation uses compiled code as the real project would do.
